WHAT ABOUT CREW ACCOMMODATION ?
There are about 160 rooms in 3 to 4 star hotels, inns and spas in the township itself. Within a half-hour’s drive from Knowlton are an additional 350 rooms/suites. Private homes can also be rented.
HOW LONG IS TRAVEL TIME BETWEEN LOCATIONS?
All locations within the region can be reached in less than half an hour by car (from central Knowlton).
WHAT ABOUT EMERGENCY AND MEDICAL SERVICES?
In case of an unexpected health issue or accident, we have arranged for local doctors/dentist to be on call. A well-known and excellent hospital is 25 minutes away.
WHAT IF I ENCOUNTER OTHER PROBLEMS?
We’ve identified the best local plumbers, electricians and mechanics for you. Once you commit to shooting here, they’ll be informed and on call.
FOOD?
The same goes for our local caterers. Knowlton is home to some of Canada’s wealthiest families, so the standard of catering is high.
WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE?
We have four distinct seasons, with autumn probably the most spectacular. The Lake Brome region is famous for its fall colours, which generally peak the two first weeks of October. More detailed data about average monthly temperatures and precipitation can be found in the “black book” we have prepared for production managers.
IS THE TOWNSHIP “MOVIE-FRIENDLY”?
A big yes. This initiative has the support of the town’s government as well as its residents, who are easy-going and low key. So, no annoying crowds. You can work in peace.
